• avian embryonic microsurgery (quail-chick chimera, parabiosis, notochord, ectoderm, endoderm ablation, neural crest transplantation, DiI labeling, microbead implantation, etc.), organ cultures, RCAS virus technique, in situ hybridization
• histology, histochemistry, immunocytochemistry, double immunofluorescence staining, electron microscopy, confocal microscopy, monoclonal antibody production
